Who The Hell Am I?

Born to the City of Sin in the later end of the Millennial Generation, I was raised in the lower middle class by divorced parents. My mother was an ex-Mormon who only was ever religious to keep her boyfriend’s happy. As for my father, he was and is even more so nowadays a “God is everything” Christian.

Growing up I followed my parents religious path, but never really getting into it the way they would have wanted. In middle school and high school I dabbled in Pegan and Wiccan magick, but none of it ever worked, so I eventually have that up. I spent time going through all the major religions finding problems with all of them. Realizing I believed in science and logic more than any religion I labeled myself an Atheist.

In my search through religions I found a line in Satanism that resonated with me: “Worship yourself as a God, because you create your own reality.” At the time I had only ever found Theistic Satanism, but that line stuck with me. One day I came across a meme outlining types of Satanism and there was a group being portrayed as the Nerds of Satanism.

This piqued my interest, so I did some research into a group known as the United Aspects of Satan. It turned out they were a group of Atheists who Satan and his other portrayals as symbols to create a guide for living, so I read up on them. What I found were principles that fit exactly with my world view; faith in science, betterment of self, and helping others who are in need. On top of that I also get to stick it to the “Better than thou Christians” by being a better person than them under the symbol they call evil.

I decided to make this blog to track my progress exploring Satanism and what it means to me; hoping that my words will help someone down the road find the guidance/information they are seeking.

Yours Truly,
Deamon
