V. Beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs.

The things about science is that it is always learning new things; this means new things get added, and old things get updated or removed as our understanding of the universe grows. Science and statistics can often be warped to fit whatever narrative you wish to present, but just because you can force things to look one way doesn’t mean that it is accurate or accepted by the scientific community.
